Three years passes since the QE2 sailed on her final voyage from Southampton to Dubai in 2008. To coincide with this anniversary we have revised and updated this QE2 website to include more content, photographs and videos about the world's most famous ocean liner. The website has been re-organised into chronological order, with pages about the her background, the story of her design, construction, service and retirement.
We've added new interactive content: you can see how the QE2 compares to the Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth; there are new videos of the QE2's final arrival into Southampton and departure on 11 November 2008; and we've included more photographs of the QE2 taken during her farewell 2008 season.
There are new content sections: the history of the Cunard Line and some of her famous ships are now on our 'Background' page; profiles of the design team are inclued on our 'Design' page; and we've expanded the 'Key Events' section on our 'Service' page. Finally, our 'Virtual Experience' allows you to explore the QE2 and view panoramic photographs taken onboard.
