The QE2 Story Forum posts a series of videos from an exclusive visit aboard the QE2 in Dubai. Coinciding with the 42nd anniversary of the QE2's maiden voyage the QE2 Story Forum has posted 25 videos taken aboard the QE2. The QE2 Story Forum's Rob Lightbody obtained permission to visit the QE2 between 24 and 26 April 2011, hosted by QE2 Project Manager Scott Clegg and the QE2's Captain William Cooper.
During Rob's visit he recorded a video diary, visiting key areas of the liner, which is now available on the forum's YouTube channel. The videos document the interior and exterior deck spaces of the QE2 two-and-a-half years after her arrival in Dubai.
The videos also put pay to rumours that have circulated on the Internet since the QE2's arrival in Dubai. The QE2 is very much alive, looked after by a small crew who undertake regular maintenance to keep the QE2 in the best condition. Historic artefacts are meticulously documented before carefully removal for safe storage. Contrary to rumours, the QE2's Library still is still fully stocked and the fixtures of the Synagogue are intact. View to the QE2 Story Forum's YouTube channel ».
