Members of 'The QE2 Story' forum meet to celebrate the world's most famous ocean liner. On the weekend of 26th and 27th June 2010 members of the forum will travel to the Clyde - birthplace of the QE2 - to celebrate the liner's 42 year career. Members from across the United Kingdom and Europe will meet up, brought together by a shared love for the former Cunard liner.
On Saturday members plan to travel down the Clyde aboard the Paddle Steamer Waverley, passing the site of the former John Brown shipyard where the QE2 entered the water over 42 years ago. On Sunday forum members will visit the Titan Crane at Clydebank, the sole surviving structure from the John Brown shipyard.
