Nine hundred visitors to this QE2 Farewell Tribute website in the two months following our launch. This website was launched on 22 August 2008 and since then there have been over nine-hundred visits, with those visitors spending a total of forty hours viewing this website.
At the centre of this website is a virtual tour of the Queen Elizabeth 2 containing over 100 panoramic images of the interior spaces and exterior decks, taken during her final year of commercial service on three separate occasions between June 2008 and October 2008. The virtual tour has been popular with visitors and has received much positive feedback.
This website hopes to serve the memory of the QE2 and reflect the warmth and affection of people around the world towards the QE2. She is a special ship and to those privileged to have worked aboard or sailed as passengers, to her many admirers she has a soul, a heart. To them she will always be the greatest liner in the world.
