Introduction

This website concerns the legendary Cunard liner RMS Queen Mary, one of the most famous and well-loved vessels to have served on the North Atlantic run. She entered commercial service in 1936 and served during the Second World War, before returning to post-war passenger service until her retirement in 1967. Today, moored in Long Beach, California in the United States the Queen Mary serves as a hotel and tourist attraction and is a remarkable survivor from a golden age of ocean liner travel. This website is illustrated with many photographs illustrating the interior and exterior of this beautiful ocean liner. This website contains a brief history of the Queen Mary, along with a series of facts and figures about the ship. There are also multimedia files and a virtual tour of some of the significant areas of the RMS Queen Mary. Finally there is a links section containing hyperlinks to external sites concerning the ship.
